Members who studied French "O" level way back and perhaps go on holiday to France might like to join us.

At the start of each session, members take turns to speak in French for a few minutes on any subject of their choice-possibly something that happened or they had done the previous week, recent events, anything really, followed by some discussion.

I will usually bring along some text from Le Monde or other publications, for translation and pronunciation.  Le Monde is especially useful in that the articles can be read in French or English. 

 We use dictation exercises to train our ears to the spoken word.

We usually end with some music from a good list of singers "des chansons françaises",
